By booking or participating in any classes or services offered by Teaching Tails, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with any bookings or classes.
1. Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Your place in the class is only confirmed when full payment has been received.

If payment is not made, your spot may be released and made available to other participants. We will attempt to contact you before releasing the spot, but contact is not guaranteed.
2. Class Participation
-
Physical Ability: You must be physically able to handle your own dog during class. If you are unable to do so, a one-to-one session may be a more suitable option.

Nervous/Reactive Dogs: You must not knowingly book a nervous or reactive dog into a group class. If you're unsure whether your dog is suitable for a group setting, please contact us in advance.

If you do not contact us beforehand and we find that your dog is highly reactive or nervous during class, we may need to seek an alternative solution to better meet your dog’s needs.
3. Refund Policy

You must provide at least one week’s notice if you wish to cancel your class or socialisation session. A handling fee of £25 will be charged due to the limited availability of spaces.

Non-Transferable: Classes and courses are non-transferable. If you miss a class, the instructor will not be able to make up for it in future sessions.

Missed Classes: If you are absent from a class, you will need to arrange a separate time to cover any missed material. A charge may occur for the trainer's time.

Workshops: No refunds will be given for failure to attend our workshops are room at at heavily discounted rate with limited availability.
4. Block Bookings

Block bookings are typically scheduled at the same time each week. If this is not possible, appointments will be booked one week in advance.

You must give 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, flexibility is limited due to other commitments.

No Refunds: Refunds are not offered for missed classes or appointments in block bookings.
5. Training Methods

Your instructor is a certified member of the Institute of Modern Dog Training (IMDT), having met the high standards required of IMDT members.

At [Your Business Name], we use and promote force-free training methods. We reject the use of any techniques or equipment that may cause physical or mental discomfort to dogs.

Prohibited Items: Choke chains, prong collars, rattle cans, water sprays, and other aversive devices are not allowed.

We are committed to showing you that kind, proven methods are the most effective approach to training your dog.
6. Hygiene

We use vet-approved disinfectants and take every precaution to reduce the risk of disease. However, we cannot be held accountable should a dog become ill.

A vaccinated or titre-tested dog may not have full immunity. Please do not attend class if your dog has recently experienced vomiting, diarrhea, or has a fever.

Kennel Cough is not a mandatory vaccine but it is highly contagious and more dangerous for puppies so we ask owners to provide their own water dishes and toys in our puppy class to reduce risk.
7. COVID-19 Guidelines

Safety Measures: Hand sanitizers is available class sizes remain small. Classes will be held outdoors when possible.

Please do not attend class if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or feel unwell.

Social distancing must be respected while on our premises. Dogs will remain on leads during class to help maintain distance between people.

Puppies and dogs in socialisation classes will be wiped down with antiviral pet wipes upon arrival and before returning to you.

Although we take safety precautions, Teaching Tails cannot be held responsible if you contract COVID-19. By booking with us, you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk.
8. Liability & Insurance

Teaching Tails will make every effort to ensure that classes are run safely and professionally.

We hold public liability and general insurance appropriate for a dog training business. However, participation in any of our activities is entirely at your own risk.

Responsibility for Your Dog: Handlers are responsible for their dogs at all times and are advised to ensure they have adequate pet insurance to cover liability for damage to property or injury to third parties caused by their dog.
9. Results

Achieving desired results in training requires consistent effort from both the owner and the dog. Practicing at home between sessions is essential to ensure progress.

By purchasing any of our courses, you declare that you are at least 18 years old and that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
